We want to thank all who attended our annual ASCE awards lunch at the Brandywine Country Club. We were happy to honor Michael D. Pniewski, P.E., P.S. with the ASCE Toledo Engineer of the Year award as well as Justin A. Stiles, P.E. with the ASCE Young Engineer of the Year award.
The S.R. 25 / I-475 Diverging Diamond Interchange was awarded the ASCE Toledo Project of the Year award. The recipients of the award were the Ohio Department of Transportation who was the owner of the project and DGL Consulting Engineers who was the lead design firm.
The ASCE Past Presidents award was also given to Gregory Buhoveckey by Don Feller in recognition for the hard work and dedication that Gregory Buhoveckey has provided in the last year for the ASCE Toledo Section as President.
After the awards ceremony Amy Zimmerman P.E. with DGL Consulting and Michael Stormer P.E. with ODOT gave a presentation on a brief history of why a DDI was chosen for this area as well as going into the details of the design and going over the post construction results in both functionality and public opinion.
